Kicking Off the 2017-2018 Season of Giving

The Brooks Group came together for a day of community service at Second Harvest Heartland to kick-off the 2017-2018 season of giving with our clients Taste of the NFL and Chef Thomas Boemer. Taste of the NFL Founder Wayne Kostroski, Retired Vikings Linebacker Ben Leber, Vikings Executive Director of Social Impact Brett Taber, Second Harvest Heartland CEO Rob Zeaske, Chef Thomas Boemer and members of the Minnesota Vikings Cheerleaders gathered at the food bank to help package produce that will make its way into the hands of the those in need in the community.

Since 1992, the Taste of the NFL has rallied the country’s top chefs and the NFL’s greatest players in support of food banks throughout the United States culminating at the annual Party with a Purpose.  To date the organization has raised and distributed over $25 million, the equivalent of over 200 million new meals, to help end hunger in the United States.

The day of service also acted as the official start of the Kick Hunger Challenge. This initiative started 10 years ago to give fans the opportunity to donate to a local food bank in support of their favorite NFL team.

We look forward to our continued work with Taste of the NFL and hope to make this year the biggest one yet!
