With Thanksgiving right around the corner, plenty of reliable D.C. restaurants plan to celebrate the annual American holiday properly with options for carryout feasts or sit-down spreads.

Apps like chicory salad, butternut squash soup and shrimp cocktail warm up diners to a choice of roasted heritage turkey, pan-seared Big Glory Bay salmon, filet mignon, or porterhouse for two, with apple-cranberry cake and dark chocolate mousse for dessert. Add-on sides like sauteed Brussels sprouts, sourdough stuffing, and sweet potato casserole are $10 each.
